Contact & Club Information

Our AFS Club is organized to help and assist the AFS exchange students adjust to American teenage life. It is a chance for the American students to learn about another country and become friends with the exchange students. We try to plan at least monthly activities so all the exchange students and club members in the area can join in the fun. Our activities are open to anyone in Southwest Kansas that is interested in supporting AFS and its mission to work for a "more just and peaceful world.” We are also planning a trip to somewhere in the United States at the end of the school year, which will include many enjoyable and exciting activities. We also try to have an exchange with another club during the year and see what it is like to live for a very short time with a family that we do not know and visit a school in the area of the exchange.

Throughout the year we work at the concession stands during sporting events and cook and serve two meals at the county fair as fund-raisers. If we need more funds for our trip and activities we have sold homemade cookies, Krispy Kremes, etc... and are always open to finding other fundraising ideas.
