2017-2018 Middle School / High School Enrollment Information

Printable Enrollment Forms

Dear Parents and Students,

As we prepare for a new school year, we are reminded there will be lots of excitement and fresh opportunities for the students and staff of both Sublette Middle School and Sublette High School.

Speaking from the principals’ perspective, I am excited to work with the students of this community as well as the fine staff we have assembled. This will be my 38th year in this school district and I know this school and community are capable of doing great things. From our parents to our churches and to our schools and community, this is a great community to live in. I still believe that and want to continue in the effort of helping produce solid citizens from Sublette. I want our students to be aware of the opportunities provided here and for them to have a great amount of pride in all we do, from academics to athletics to community service and so much more. Basketball teams I coached all came out of the huddle with the statement “Lark Pride.” I want every student, every parent, every alumnus, and every community member to feel that pride. Sublette truly is a great place to be.

Parents, encourage your students to become involved in their school - from solid academic choices to numerous athletic opportunities to various activities and clubs. Many studies show, students who are involved in extracurricular activities are less likely to drop out, get better grades and develop into more responsible adults.

Students, as I stated before, take heed of this advice and take advantage of the opportunities you have here at SMS/SHS. Learn to feel the pride of being a part of something. Most graduated seniors will tell you how fast the school years go by. Some may even tell you they wish they had participated in more activities during their time here because, after graduation, those opportunities don’t come quite as often. Make this a special time and a special place by taking advantage of these many opportunities.

We are excited to welcome the new staff members for the 2017-2018 school year. Mr. Ross Coomes will be the new social studies instructor. Mr. Matt Lambert will be inhabiting the computer room and Mr. Will Johnson will be bringing back the shop in the form of a new Vo-Ag program. Mrs. Mikelyn Holloway will be the middle school and high school counselor.

As you can tell, I have a lot of pride in Sublette and want to continue the tradition of this being a great place to grow up, acquire an education, and become prepared for a successful life. Start working now on getting a plaque with your name on it for the Wall of Honor. It can be done. Let us help.

We will have a great year!,

Monty Marlin
