Note to Parents from Matt Ziegler, Head Coach

If you ever have any questions, or comments, or concerns, please feel free to contact me, and we’ll set up a time to meet, that will be convenient for both of us.

Practices are open unless otherwise specified. Please feel free to come watch anytime.

  • The amount of playing time for each player will he determined by his skills, attitude, commitment to the team, effort in practice, and his grades.
  • NEW THIS YEAR: Players will ride home from away games on the bus. The only exception to this is if the player is going somewhere other than Sublette immediately after the game with his family. This must be cleared with the High School office (620-675-2232) prior to departure.
  • Team members will show respect for, be considerate of, and display a positive attitude towards teammates, coaches, officials, opposing teams, and parents.
  • Players will control their emotions and always display good sportsmanship. No profanity; no throwing equipment; no arguing with coaches, teammates, opponents, or officials. No negative remarks to or about any of these either.
  • An Eligibility List comes out every Monday. If a player is ineligible, on academic probation, and/or on the “D List,” they will have extra conditioning, and be expected to attend tutoring, until they are off the list.
  • Everyone on the team is expected to be on time for all classes, practices, games, and team functions.
  • If a player knows in advance that he is going to miss practice, he must inform a coach of his absence. He will he expected to make up the practice. In the case of an un-excused absence, players will be expected to make up and have extra conditioning as well. NO ONE WILL PLAY IN A GAME UNTIL THEY HAVE MADE UP THE MISSED PRACTICES.
